AMARILLO, TEXAS -- If you enjoy your trip to the tanning bed soon, you'll have to be willing to pay a little more green for that golden glow.
Indoor tanning salons will charge customers a 10% tax beginning in July which is just one of the changes Americans will see as a result of the U.S. health care overhaul.
With the Spring upon us, the tanning business is seeing an increase in customers, but will that increase continue?
Hollywood Tans Owner Gus Granger said, "I don't expect it to hurt our business much. Most consumers will understand, it may hurt just a little bit but most folks will just pay it and move on like they normally do with any other tax."
ProNews 7 also spoke with a Hollywood Tans customer who said she's not happy with it but she said she pays taxes for everything else, and she doesn't mind paying taxes for something she enjoys.
