AMARILLO, TX -- The Amarillo Police Department is investigating two overnight store burglaries in which the suspect or suspects drove through the front doors to gain entry.

It happened at 2:47 AM Saturday at the Toot 'n Totum store at 4041 South Washington. Then, hours later, at around 4:10 AM, the store at 4520 S. Georgia was also burglarized.

The car would back away from the building, and suspect would then enter through the badly damaged doorway.  The same vehicle may have been used to commit both crimes.  The suspects drove into the front doors of the stores in what may have been a blue, teal, or gray General Motors brand vehicle.

Cigarettes and beer were taken.
