AMARILLO, TEXAS -- The Texas Tech Laura W. Bush Institute for Women's Health and North West Texas Hospital hosted a grant awards ceremony this morning.

$75,000 will assist in research linking a B12 deficiency to postpartum depression, smart cancer detecting particles which will only destroy the cancer, instead of healthy cells, and more.

Dr. Marjorie Jenkins said, " New innovative ways to council them to get exercise in the work place is so important and could potentially save billions of dollars to employers so that's the reason we are very excited about this particular group because there are just wonderful answers that could help women in their overall health."

All of this exciting research will be conducted here in Amarillo.
