AMARILLO,TEXAS -- In the southeast United States they are seing a rise in H1N1 cases. So the Texas Health Department is taking notice and they want the state to be prepared.
The Amarillo Health Department says we have seen a few mild cases in-town, but nothing big since the winter. Currently there are 2,200 H1N1 vaccines in Amarillo.
"Local public health is monitoring the situation. We don't believe there's an uptake in the disease right now, but it's always possible to have a third wave of disease, but we're prepared for it," said City of Amarillo Health Director, Matt Richardson. I
