ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - A 51-year-old Albuquerque woman with previous convictions has been sentenced to two years in prison on charges of mortgage fraud, forgery and conspiracy to commit racketeering.
State District Judge Reed Shepard also sentenced Katherine Vidaurri, who also goes by Katherine Pulliam or Katherine Padilla, to five years' supervised probation and two years' parole.
She was accused of committing the crimes between Dec. 1, 2005, and October 2007.
Vidaurri was convicted in December of 2004 on fraud charges and of violating the Mortgage Broker Act in 1997 and 1998.
Prosecutors agreed in a plea agreement with Vidaurri not to seek extra prison time based on her previous convictions. However, they could seek habitual offender penalties if she violates terms of the agreement.
