AMARILLO,TEXAS -- An Amarillo man has died after being assaulted at Bosco's Lounge in March.
According to police 36-year-old David Glen Cates was assaulted by a 35-year-old white male on March 25th at the lounge.
Cates was taken to Northwest Texas Hospital unconscious on the 26th. Cates never regained consciousness from what has been described as an internal head injury. Cates was placed in Hospice where he died on Friday, April 9.
Justice of the Peace Debbie Horn ordered an autopsy be preformed on Cates in Lubbock. Preliminary results indicate he died from blunt force trauma to the head.
Detectives along with the Special Crimes unit have conducted a joint investigation up to this point. As of right now no arrests have been made, but the 35-year-old male has been questioned.
