AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - Texas Comptroller Susan Combs is offering schools and local law enforcement money to help stop children and teens from smoking.

Texas law already bans anyone under 18 from smoking or having tobacco products.

The grants announced Monday range from $1,000 to $150,000. The money can be used in a number of areas, including education programs or sting operations to catch retailers who sell tobacco to minors.
