Amarillo police have arrested a man they believe robbed Dillard's early Wednesday morning.
According to police around 1:20 a.m. a witness saw a white pickup drive into the northwest glass doors at Dillard's inside Westgate Mall.
Officers who responded to the call found clothing missing near the the point of entry. They immediately sent out the suspects information and around 1:35, an officer saw a white Ford F-150 which matched the description of the suspect's vehicle turn onto Amarillo Boulevard.
While the officer was following the truck, the driver stopped the vehicle in the 1300 block of NW 10th and got out. The officer approached the man, who he later identified as Rodney Dwayne Wiseman.
The pickup had damage that indicated that is was used in the burglary. The officer also saw clothing with Dillard's tags, still on the hangars, in the bed of the pickup. Wiseman was arrested and booked into Potter County Detention Center on charges of burglary, criminal mischief over $1500, failure to identify, and possession of drug paraphernelia.
