ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) - North central Texas mayors joined the U.S. Census Bureau chief in appealing to the public to complete and submit their 2010 Census forms no later than Friday.
That's the deadline for Census forms to be mailed.
Bureau Director Robert Groves says it's in Texans' best interests to complete and submit the forms and avoid the cost to taxpayers of having a census-taker come to their door.
As of April 14, Dallas, Arlington and Fort Worth had participation rates well below the 67 percent nationwide rate.
