HOUSTON (AP) - Houston police say a sleeping 4-month-old was injured when a suspected drunken driver crashed into a home.
Officers say the 20-year-old driver ran a stop sign, drove into the driveway and then crashed through the front of the home early Sunday morning.
Authorities tell the Houston Chronicle that the car crashed into the front room where infant Elizabeth Cedillo was sleeping. She was taken to a hospital, where she was placed on life support Sunday evening.
Police say the driver fled after the crash, but was later arrested. He was taken to the hospital and was treated for a broken arm.
Authorities said he is expected to be charged with intoxication manslaughter.
