AMARILLO, TEXAS -- UPDATE: A woman who tried to escape from police by jumping out of a moving patrol car was sent to jail after spending more than a week in the hospital.
Last Sunday, Stacy Mock, 30, was arrested on a parole revocation warrant. While she was being transported to jail, she managed to get a rear window down, and she jumped from the moving vehicle.
Mock sustained a serious head injury, and was taken to the hospital. She was charged with the parole violation, an evading detention warrant, possession of marijuana under two ounces, and escape.

An Amarillo woman is in serious condition after trying to escape from the back of a moving police car Sunday evening.
According to police reports, officers pulled over a car on a routine traffic stop and noticed 30-year-old Stacy Mock had an outstanding parole warrant.
Police arrested Mock and put her in the backseat of the police car.
As the patrol car was driving on I-40 at highway speeds, Mock forced the rear window down then jumped out of the car, according to police.
Mock sustained a serious head injury and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
