AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Amarillo Police are investigating another home invasion robbery, this one happened in the 1500 block of Carolina.
According to police, the 33-year old victim was asleep when he heard a loud noise in his house just after 2:00 Wednesday morning. He woke up to find thee black males in his home, police said the suspects kicked in the front door. The victim confronted the men as they headed towards a room where his two young children were sleeping, a fight broke out. The victim was shot several times with a air soft pistol and beaten with bricks. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment. The suspects took some personal items from the home and left in a newer model Chevy truck. A pistol was recovered at the scene, the victim's injuries are described an non-life threatening.
Police added they do not know if this is related to the home invasion on Parker Monday night, more information should be available later this afternoon.
