AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Amarillo police are investigating the city's third home invasion robbery this week.

At 1:06 A.M. Thursday morning, an adult male resident at 504 S. Bellview told police he was awakened by a black male inside of his house.

The victim chased the subject out of the back of the house, and was struck by a second suspect in the back yard.

The victim was forced back into the house where he was told to open a safe. The victim refused, and the suspects fled the scene with home electronics from the residence.

This is the third home invasion robbery reported this week in Amarillo. According to police, all three cases are actively being pursued, and it is unknown at this time if they are related.
