NEW YORK (AP) -- A law enforcement official says authorities are looking for a suspected money courier they say helped finance from overseas a Pakistani-American man's Times Square car bomb plot.

The official tells The Associated Press authorities know the name of the suspected courier. The official spoke on condition of anonymity Thursday because of the sensitivity of the investigation into the failed bombing near a Broadway theater showing "The Lion King."

Law enforcement officials have said they believe Faisal Shahzad (FY'-sul shah-ZAHD') rigged an SUV with a homemade gasoline and propane bomb and drove it into Times Square on Saturday.

They are looking into the possible financing of the plot by foreign groups.

U.S. officials have detained people in Pakistan, where Shahzad was earlier this year.

A cousin of Shahzad's father calls Shahzad's arrest "a conspiracy."
