SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) - Former state Republican Party chairman Allen Weh continues to pump his own money into the race for the GOP gubernatorial nomination.
According to a campaign finance report filed Monday, Weh raised $341,000 during the past month. That includes a personal loan of $250,000 and it brought to $1 million the amount that Weh has lent his campaign so far. Weh owns an aircraft charter company in Albuquerque.
Four other Republicans are seeking the party's nomination for governor: state Rep. Janice Arnold-Jones, Pete Domenici Jr., Susana Martinez, and Doug Turner.
Democratic Lt. Gov. Diane Denish collected about $295,000 in contributions and has a cash balance of $2.7 million in her gubernatorial campaign account. She is unopposed in the June primary election.
