AMARILLO,TEXAS -- According to the 47th District Attorney's Office, Ulysses Griego is on trail in Potter County, charged with Arson Causing Bodily Injury.

Back in June of 2007, Griego along with three other people set fire to an elderly woman's home.

Bobbie Miller, 70, was inside her home at the time of that fire.  Amarillo police officer Dewayne Griffin rushed into the burning home to save her.

Griego's trial began Monday with jury selection, followed by the testimonies of nine witnesses who were called to testify by the State of Texas.

On Tuesday, the State called an additional eleven witnesses to the stand.

If convicted Griego faces 5-99 years or life in prison, and a fine not to exceed $10,000.
