OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - The Oklahoma driver's manual used for Class D license testing will no longer be free.

The state Department of Public Safety has agreed to allow state Tag agents to sell the manuals for $4.50 each plus tax starting Friday.

Public Safety Commissioner Kevin Ward says DPS can no longer afford to provide the manual at no charge because of the budget shortfall.

The Tag agents will pay the printing costs and sell the manuals at Tag agencies statewide.

The Commercial Driver License Manual will still be available at no cost at testing sites and both manuals are available at no cost on the DPS website.
