AMARILLO,TEXAS -- Stacy Mock has been released from a local hospital and booked into the Potter County Detention Center.
You may recall a few weeks ago that Mock attempted to escape from the back seat of a patrol car as it was traveling on I-40 at highway speeds.
Officers arrested Mock at an apartment in the 2700 hundred block of S. Virginia. She was wanted on a parole revocation warrant stemming from a Hutchinson County conviction for possession-transportation of a chemical with intent to manufacture a controlled substance. She also had a Potter County felony warrant charging evading arrest. Mock was arrested inside the apartment.
Mock was originally handcuffed with her hands behind her back. She was being transported to the jail, in the back seat. Apparently she was able to slip her lower body through her handcuffed arms and bring her hands around in front of her. She then opened the back window, and warned the officer that was driving. The driver applied the brakes. The passenger officer reached through the window in the partition between the front and back seats in an attempt to grab her and prevent her from getting out. Mock managed to slip out the window and fell to the pavement before the officer could stop the car.
In addition to the previous charges Mock faces she has now also been charged with escape under cause.
