Mulshoe man killed in wreck near Clovis

CLOVIS,N.M. -- A Muleshoe man was killed in a wreck outside of Clovis, New Mexico on Thursday.

New Mexico State Police say that around 9:00 a.m. Salvador Olivarez was driving his utility truck with two passengers west on Curry Road 6 when he lost control of the truck. It hit a culvert in the drainage ditch and began to roll.

Olivarez was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The two passengers were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
