LAS CRUCES, N.M. (AP) - New Mexico State University is going into the fiery foods business, and sales are heating up at regional airports.

The university's hot sauce and salsa - made from the hottest chile peppers on the planet - are now being sold in airports across the Southwest.

The product is called Holy Jolokia.

A fiery foods company partnered with NMSU last year to produce the hot sauce and a salsa, made from Jolokia peppers. Those peppers are certified by NMSU's Chile Pepper Institute as the hottest on Earth - with a rating of 100 times hotter than the average jalapeno.

University officials say the hot sauce and salsa are extremely hot but delicious.

A portion of the sales will go back to the Chile Pepper Institute.
