OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - The National Weather Service says at least 12 tornadoes touched down in Oklahoma as severe storms passed over the state last week.

According to the weather service's Norman office website, at least nine tornadoes were reported in its coverage area on May 19. The tornadoes occurred near the towns of Leedey, Hennessey, Marshall, Loyal, Dover, Orlando, Stillwater, Prague and Hennepin.

Officials say three people sustained minor injuries.

The agency's Tulsa office says on its website that preliminary information indicates tornadoes also touched down near Clearview, Bristow and Depew in eastern Oklahoma.

Survey teams from the Tulsa office also are looking at other potential tornado damage tracks in Pawnee, Creek, Tulsa and Muskogee counties.
