FARMINGTON, N.M. (AP) - A third man has been arrested in connection with the repeated rape and killing of a woman last Sunday in Farmington.
Police think 55-year-old Loretta Benally was inside a van drinking with three men when she was sexually assaulted and bludgeoned.
Police say Benally died Monday afternoon of blunt force trauma.
The charges the three men face include criminal sexual penetration and kidnapping.
One of the men, 36-year-old Marvin Williams, also faces an open count of murder charge because police believe he is responsible for Benally's fatal injury.
The other two suspects are identified as 45-year-old Elmer Billy and 33-year-old Herman Tsosie.
