HENRYETTA, Okla. (AP) - The Okmulgee County Sheriff's Office says two people have been arrested in the death of a Henryetta businessman.
The sheriff's office said Wednesday John Burgess was booked into jail on a first-degree murder complaint, and Denise Groff faces complaints of accessory to murder after the fact and conspiracy to commit murder.
No formal charges have been filed.
Investigators have alleged that Burgess and Groff are responsible for the death of Delbert Linn Rodgers, the owner of The Oil Pit, an auto service business. Rodgers' body was found Saturday in the garage at his home.
Investigators alleged that Groff, who was Rodgers' girlfriend, and Burgess were having an affair, and that Burgess shot Rodgers.
The sheriff's office says Groff led them to the weapon used in the killing.
