HOUSTON (AP) - A tip led animal rescuer personnel to a Houston home where more than 160 dogs were removed over allegations of neglect.
The Houston Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals spent several hours taking custody of the dogs.
SPCA spokeswoman Meera Nandlal says there were animals everywhere in the home. SPCA says the animals ranged in age from days-old puppies to 14-year-old dogs.
Four dead dogs were located in a freezer during the raid Tuesday night.
A judge will determine the fate of the 161 dogs.
