LAS VEGAS (AP) — O.J. Simpson's lawyer calls time a big hurdle he'll face when he asks the Nevada Supreme Court to overturn the imprisoned former football star's conviction and grant a new trial in a September 2007 hotel room heist.

Attorneys for Simpson and convicted co-defendant Clarence "C.J." Stewart will each have 15 minutes Friday to make their cases and answer questions from a trio of justices in Las Vegas.

Simpson and Stewart won't appear. A ruling from the court is expected later this year.

Clark County District Attorney David Roger argues that the judge in the case did a good job, and Simpson and Stewart got a fair trial.

Simpson is serving nine to 33 years, while Stewart is serving 7 1/2 to 27 years.
