OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Oklahoma Attorney General Drew Edmondson says his office is investigating claims that out-of-state roofing companies are posing as Oklahoma companies to get business.

Edmondson says the Consumer Protection Unit is looking into allegations that companies have taken the names and logos of established Oklahoma companies in an effort to get business. He says such actions amount to fraud.

Officials say numerous out-of-state roofers have come to Oklahoma after the May tornadoes and hailstorm. Total losses have been estimated at $1 billion or more.
