AMARILLO, TEXAS -- There are several summer camps staring-up in our area, and River Road is offering a couple that kids may be willing to head back to school for.

The River Road Independent School District is offering technology camps such as intro to digital creativity and video production for incoming third through eighth grade students.

Director of technology for River Road, Gina Johnson, says it's important for kids to be tech savvy.

"Kids today need to learn about technology, the way it's going I mean in the future that we will be going away from text books, they will be doing their assignments on the computer."

There is no cost to attend camp, but seating is limited.

For those interested in next weeks camp - intro to video production - send an email with the child's name to webmaster@rrisd.net.
