Power has been restored in most communities affected after an equipment failure at a key interchange interrupted flow on several major lines. Perryton and Spearman in Texas are not fully restored, but all customers are expected to be restored between 12:30 and 1 p.m.

Equipment failure at Xcel Energy's Pringle Interchange in northern Hutchinson County has left several Panhandle towns without power.
Communities without power include Perryton, Booker, Gruver, Spearman, Follett and Darrouzett in Texas, and Guymon, Boise City and Beaver in the Oklahoma Panhandle.
Wes Reeves with Xcel says that around 10:30 a.m. power flow was interrupted on four major feeder lines that serve those areas.
Xcel is in the process of shifting load onto other lines and hopes to have power restored in the next two hours to as many areas as possible. When that is done then crews can begin to make the needed repairs at the Pringle interchange.
