Area farmers are gearing up for the opening of the Golden Spread Farmers Market.
The co-op of Panhandle farmers grow their own fruits and vegetables as well as fresh cut flowers. The produce is harvested on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and brought to the market the following morning. Most of the farmers are located within 70 miles or less of Amarillo and are all family-owned and operated.
Opening day is Thursday, July 1st at 7 a.m.and is located in the parking lot of Sunset Center. The market will then be open Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday at 7:00 a.m. until they are sold out.
