AMARILLO, TEXAS -- The City of Amarillo says a water main break in the 1100 block of W. 34th is causing some lane closures and delays.
Crews began working the break at 3401 S. Hayden around 8:30 Monday morning.
West bound traffic on 34th only has one lane open.
East bound traffic is being rerouted south on Hayden to the I-27 access road then back to Parker on the access road then loop around under I-27 at Parker and proceed eastbound on the south I-27 access road.
Crews are working to repair the break which is affecting about 40 residences. Repairs on the water main are expected to be completed by five.
It is expected the street repairs will take 2-3 days once the water main repairs are completed.
