CLARENDON, TEXAS -- For the past 133 years the folks in Clarendon have celebrated their 4th of July St. Roosts Festival.

Action started Thursday, with some sidewalk merchant sales, and a Jr. Rodeo Thursday night.

Friday, at the Depression Lunch you can get beans and cornbread for a quarter.

Saturday morning kicks off with a parade, followed with a craft fair on the Courthouse Lawn.

Then off to the rodeo and a dance that will go on Friday and Saturday.

"Checkout what clarendon has to offer, not just in ideas of what to buy or eat, but come see the rodeo and the kind of talent we have to offer, it will be a lot of fun especially the cow patty bingo, who doesn't want to toss around some cow patties for fun," said Charlie Smith, with the Clarendon Chamber of Commerce.
