Sunday the USA turned 234 years old, and across the nation the day was full of picnics, patriotic parades, and of course during the night we had concerts and firework displays. Whatever activity Americans chose to do , the American flag continues to fly. ProNews 7 went out Sunday to area parks, churches, and even 6th Street, and it seems like regardless where we went people have a strong sense pride in this country.
"I can go talk to anybody in the world and they all want to be here and they all want a part of what we have and it it's great to be able to say that i have it," said Daniel Holland, who was celebrating the Fourth at the park.
"At times I forget, but then I'm reminded, sometimes roughly , and I do my best to change that and help encourage people and help others remember what it is to be an American," said Darren Minier, also celebrating the fourth.
On the subject of patriotism, here's an interesting fact about places that have patriotic-sounding names. In the United States there are 31 places nationwide with "liberty" in their name.
