AMARILLO, TEXAS -- UPDATE: In less than an hour after this story was posted The Division of Blind Services received four calls from people offering to buy this family a brand new ac window unit!

You all proved that the Panhandle Spirit is alive and well. When someone is in need you all rally behind them to offer your help.

The Division of Blind Services is asking for assistance in locating an air conditioning window unit. Christina Weller with the organization says she has a 6-year-old client with multiple disabilities, that is in desperate need of air conditioning. She says the little boy is miserable because his family doesn't have an air conditioner. She says the family isn't able to afford a unit and would be blessed if they could get one.
