PAMPA, TEXAS -- The Pampa Independent School District Board of Trustees is getting a pat on the back from the Region 16 Education Service Center.
The board was selected to represent the center among the Regional Honor Boards in the Texas Association School Administrators awards program this year. The school board awards program was created in 1971 to recognize school boards that demonstrate outstanding dedication and ethical service to the kids across the Lone Star State.
From the Regional Winners, five Honor Boards will be spot-lighted during the TASA/TASB Convention in Houston in September. During the ceremony, one of the boards will be named 2010 Outstanding School Board in Texas.
