AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Pantex presented a major donation to the High Plains Food Bank Friday, and it couldn't have come at a better time.

Currently the demand for food is high, over 600,000 pounds are sent out every month throughout the Texas Panhandle.

Employees at Pantex held a donation drive earlier this month, donating more than $10,000 and over 1500 pounds of food.

Friday, they presented those donations to the food bank.

"My heart soars like an eagle its fantastic when people know there are people out there they have the capability and they are just so willing to give," said Geoff Beausoleil, Pantex Deputy Manager.

Your donations are still needed, you can drop off any cash or non-perishable food item at the High Plains Food Bank location on Ross.
