AMARILLO, TEXAS -- A fire that started Sunday night at a home in the 4800 block of Northside is still under investigation.
More than 15 Potter County fire trucks were called to the scene, to battle the 30 foot flames for over an hour.
The occupants of the home and several neighbors were forced to evacuate, because there were reports that ammunition in the home was being set off by the fire.
No one was injured, but there are reports that some of the pets in the home did not survive.
Potter County Fire Chief Richard Lake says the estimated damage is around $80,000 and the home is a total loss. Fire crews were on the scene from 9:00 p.m. until around 1:30 Monday morning.
