AMARILLO, TEXAS -- The Amarillo Dillas have not paid the county for use of the Dilla Villa, but it's not entirely their fault.
According to General Manager, Mark Lee, the county forgot to send the Dillas a lease-agreement, and in turn the Dillas weren't sure when to send the money.
"We were waiting on something, they were waiting on something..it was one step that didn't get handled..it just got handled. So...once we get the lease agreement back to us then the money will get to them. So, it's really nothing, we have the payment we just weren't sure when to send it," said Lee.
The Dillas told the County they would pay the $75,000 dollars they owe by August 21, which will pay for the months May through July.
The cost to rent out the Dilla Villa per month is $25,000.
