Those suffering from PTSD show signs of anxiety, sleeping disorders, nightmares, and anger issues. The VA Healthcare System says the government foots the bill for most service disabilities, but it's a long process to identify and there are those who fall through the cracks.

"Once their eligiblity for that status runs out then it depends on if they have service related disabilities then that takes care of it but if they don't, but still want to use us, just like anybody in the community, then it depends on their income level and insurance.", says Dr. Paul Whittaker, Clinical Psychologist of VA Healthcare System.

Dr. Whittaker adds that the VA does any and everything possible to make sure veterans get the care they need.
