ARMSTRONG CO., TEXAS -- An Amarillo man died Sunday after his motorcycle crashed.
The accident happened shortly after 2:30 Sunday afternoon about 20 miles south of Claude on State Highway 207. The Department of Public Safety says that Samuel Paul Jones, 60, was riding his Harley Davidson northbound on 207, when he attempted to pass another vehicle and he lost control of his motorcycle.
Jone's bike crossed into the west ditch where he overturned. He was pronounced dead at the scene, and authorities say he was not wearing a helmet.
