Tank in front of Potter County Courthouse
AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Also at the commissioner's meeting Monday the topic of moving the tank from in front of the Potter County Courthouse.
The Texas Historical Commission, overseeing the courthouse restoration project, says the tank must be moved since it was not part of the original building,
Commissioners voted unanimously to have the tank moved to Ellwood Park at little or not cost to the county.
Money provided through the Texas Historical Commission and local donations will pay for the move.
The tank was presented to the citizens of Potter County back in the early 1990's and dedicated to Panhandle area Veterans.
