AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Welcome Pardner is a local direct mail marketer that also helps folks in the area rescue animals. In fact, one man might not have his dog today without its help.

DJ Stubben runs Welcome Pardner, and has dealt with Neil Robertson in the past. But they've never met, they've always communicated through e-mail. Tuesday they crossed paths for the first time, after her e-mail service saved his dog.

Neil Robertson says he can't put into words how much DJ Stubben or Amarillo means to him. Last Wednesday night, his Siberian Huskie named Jill went missing during a storm. Neil found her at the pound the next morning, but he could tell she wasn't the same.

"Just lethargic, not responding to me probably just in shock," said Neil.

Jill had a broken pelvis and needed medical attention, but Neil needed help. So he e-mailed DJ's service and the response was incredible.

"Calls and calls within a 24 to 48 hour period everybody is saying poor Jill tell me how I can help."

DJ said she just wanted to make sure Neil was blessed.

"To have this happen to Jill, I wasn't going to stand for it, I wanted to make sure we did something to bless him."

And now Neil can smile knowing the community he loves came through for him.

"Phenominal, thank you so much my heart goes out to you, Jill's heart goes out to you, your good people."

Jill and other animals can always use your help. If you want to get involved with this effort, e-mail DJ at Welcome Pardner.com or call her at 356-1555.
