AMARILLO, TEXAS -- A two car accident left one person dead and four more injured. It happened at 9:38 pm Saturday night at FM 1062 and City Lake Road.
Police said a 2001 Ford Escape, driven by Christopher Edwin Scott, 21, from Canyon failed to stop at a stop sign at 1062. Scott is at Northwest Texas Hospital in stable condition.
The Ford hit a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am, which was headed East bound on 1062. The driver of that car, Sheldon Ross Atwood, 22, of Vega, was pronounced dead on the scene.
He was wearing his seat belt. The other three passengers, all in the Ford Escape, are in stable condition at Northwest Texas hospital.
