AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Region 16West Texas A&M, and Amarillo Independent School District held their At Risk conference for teachers all across the Panhandle Wednesday afternoon. The conference gave teachers a great opportunity to learn how to handle at risk kids, and what they can do to help them.

Former NFL players Keith Davis and Devin Wyman were two of the motivational speakers this year. They deal with at risk kids all the time, and say their message is through what they know best.

"We had some games that were bad first halves, and we got beat bad and boo'd off the field. Then we came out second half and played great. So today many of those kids have that kind of situation in real life, so we just came to make an announcement that they can have a second half," said Keith Davis former NFL player.

At Risk officials say kids are our future, and are impressed by how serious these educators take this during the school year.
