AMARILLO, TEXAS -- One person is dead after a house fire late Wednesday night. The Amarillo fire department was called to the home on 525 E. Hastings around 11:40, 3 units and 12 firefighters responded to the call. The fire caused heavy damage to the front of the home.
Fire fighters found Jimmy Bruce Turlington, 52, inside the home. His body has been sent to Lubbock for an autopsy.
Fire investigators say the fire caused about $60,000 in damages.
At this time the cause of the fire is unknown, and is under investigation. When more information is made available we will let you know.
