HOUSTON (AP) - A Houston-area junior high teacher has been suspended following his arrest in a child pornography investigation.
The U.S. Attorney's Office says 40-year-old Justin W. Lewis of Katy remained in custody Friday.
Spokeswoman Angela Dodge says Lewis faces a detention hearing Monday. She had no record of an attorney for Lewis, who was arrested Wednesday at his residence.
Lewis is charge with distributing child pornography, via his home computer, during July.
The penalty for distribution of child pornography is five to 20 years in prison.
Katy Independent School District spokesman Steven Stanford says Lewis has been put on administrative leave and faces dismissal.
