U.S. Sen. John Cornyn at Bell Helicopter
AMARILLO, TEXAS -- U.S. Senator John Cornyn made a stop in A marillo Tuesday to tour Bell Helicopter and to tout the importance of the work being done there for our military personnel.
He reiterated the importance of Bell as an employer here in the Panhandle area and the cooperation between the company, the community and higher education for training purposes.
Cornyn toured the plant for the fourth time and says he's always amazed by the production facilities there.
"We can't talk about details but just in terms of equipment and technology protecting our troops, we can actually, I'm told, take out the bad guys and they don't even know we're around."
Cornyn also talked about possible defense cuts being proposed, and doesn't believe they will affect operations at Bell here.
