AMARILLO, TEXAS -- The man shot by Amarillo police after pointing a gun at officers, now faces additional charges. Markeen Walker was charged with attempted aggravated assault against a peace officer with a deadly weapon for the July 29th incident at the Sorority club on south Washington.
Thursday Walker was also charged with a burglary in which a .25 caliber semi auto pistol was stolen. Police say that was the same type of gun used at the club. In a follow up investigation by APD detectives, Walker was identified as the suspect in the burglary. A 15-year-old male of Amarillo was also charged in the burglary.
