AMARILLO, TEXAS -- You don't have to live in bedrock to power it but you will need your feet. It's called the Tri-Hybrid Stealth and it's powered by peddling, electricity, and diesel fuel.
But you don't have to use your feet the whole time, the batteries kick in when going up hill, and for cruising long distances, the diesel fuel will get you far. In fact, we're told it can go 180 miles on one gallon of fuel.
The inventor said it will mean less dependence on foreign oil, it will be better for the environment, and it will even help with our health issues.
"I don't think it's it's the answer all vehicle, but it ought to be every families second vehicle you know, have one for the long trips and the family that that, but let that other vehicle be a commuter vehicle. It would save so much on fuel, so much in individual families," said Jay Perdue, the inventor.
Perdue is traveling through Amarillo as part of a 5,000 mile trip where he's campaigning for United Way.
