CONWAY, TEXAS -- An Arizona woman was arrested in Carson County after 151 pounds of marijuana was found inside her car. On Friday, a DPS trooper pulled the woman over on I-40, one mile east of Conway for failing to signal a lane change.
During the stop the trooper asked for consent to search the vehicle and it was denied. A Carson County K-9 unit was called in and alerted to the presence of drugs in the vehicle. A probable cause search revealed 151 pounds of pot hidden inside the trunk. The marijuana was valued at $49,075.
The driver, Carla Grayson, 45, of Phoenix was traveling from Phoenix to Columbus, Ohio. She was arrested and booked into the Carson County jail for possession of marijuana, a second degree felony punishable by 2-20 years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
