AMARILLO, TEXAS -- An Amarillo teen has been arrested and charged with arson for a fire that burned part of a duplex late last month.

Samuel Dakota Pettis, 17, was arrested Saturday on a Potter County warrant of arson. Pettis is accused of setting fire to the exterior of a home in the 500 block of N. Pierce.

On August 20, Amarillo firefighters responded to the call, crews had to block off the street in order to battle the blaze. Luckily no one was injured, but officials estimate about $25,000 in damage was caused to the structure.
